Haiti Relief Concert

This past Sunday our Church ( New Covenant Worship Center) had an opportunity to help with the Haiti Relief efforts. We held a small concert and received donations for the devastated country. At first I was a little disappointed with the turn out. We are a small church to begin with and normally when we invite others, they show up in full force. Such was not the case this past Sunday afternoon. But in the middle of my selfish thoughts I remembered that God said "Where there are two or three gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them." WOW, I quickly got over myself and just let God have his way. Let me tell you it turned out to be such an awesome concert and the ones who came and participated were such a blessing and I know that God saw our hearts and I am happy were able to be a blessing to those in need.

I was asked by my Grandfather (the pastor of our church) to sing a song during the concert. The song I chose to sing was called " Worthy is the Lamb" originally sang by the awesome worship leader, Darlene Zschech. What a powerful song! The first time I sang it I cried! I'll put the lyrics below so you can see how important just thanking the Lord for sacrificing His only Son for us! Sometimes it takes tragedy's like the one in Haiti to remind us that we are here for a bigger purpose and plan. Sometimes the Lord allows things to happen to remind us that HE is in control.

I know that we have been able to help some people in need in Haiti and I just hope that we can do more for others in need as well.

Thank You for the cross Lord

Thank You for the price You paid

Bearing all my sin and shame

In love You came

And gave amazing grace

Thank You for this love Lord

Thank You for the nail pierced hands

Washed me in Your cleansing flow

Now all I know

Your forgiveness and embrace

Worthy is the Lamb

Seated on the throne

Crown You now with many crowns

You reign victorious

High and lifted up

Jesus Son of God

The Darling of Heaven crucified

Worthy is the Lamb

Worthy is the Lamb
