Mono villiage and Camping galore!

So this past week I had the best camping experience of my life. My husband, bro-in-law, his girlfriend, cousin, our nephew Nate and I went up to Mono village outside of Bridgeport , CA. This was truly a place where you appreciate the state we live in. The air was so clean, there were beautiful lakes, wild life and history right there in front of you. I hope to make this an annual thing with my future family. I want my children to understand our history and not take advantage of what we have, and how far we have come in this place.

One of my absolute favorite places I wanted to mention is the ghost town of Bodie (yes our dog's name) . This town is an actual deserted town that has been maintained to keep its history. I was amazed and a bit taken back at the significance of what I was seeing and feeling. It was amazing to see these homes, stores, school and church etc... in the exact way it was left. There was clothing left over, food in kitchens, even lessons still written on the board. All of this from the late 1800's to the early 1900's
